We are long-time Sunday morning Center musicians and always considered Bob to be one of the 2 or 3 great icons of the people at that mass. I was introduced to him back in 1971, when Fr. Rich Byrne brought me along to a get together at Bob and Merrill's. There were actually 2 guests he brought, the other being a seminarian. I remember Rich asking the group to guess which one of us was a seminarian. Bob picked me!
