Where does one start to tell you about their own personal memories of your dad when there are so many after knowing him for 45 of my 50 years.
I think I will give you my favorite one from the next generation archive. The fun your dad gave not only to me but shared with my children as well.
These thoughts of course return us to the days of Hammonnasset. My little daughters would patiently wait for Mr. Cook to arrive to see how many little people had decided to spent the winter in his beard only to join us on our summer camping trip. My children thought that was the most amazing thing, that Mr. Cook had his own village in his beard. And your father never disappointed them, someone was always home.
My contact has always been sporadic with your family, coming and going throughout the years. It will definitely be strange not running into your Dad. He is a wonderful man, and has done many great things. The gifts he gave the Town by keeping the Council on their toes is irreplaceable.
